Tapa cloth / Breezeblock mug
This mug was inspired by traditional Polynesian Tapa cloth patterns and Mid-century Modern Breeze Block. This is my attempt to combine these into a unique tiki mug. I have not seen anything like it so I decided to make it. Glazes compliment the low relief pattern, making the inside as interesting as the outside. Each one of these mugs is handmade by me one at a time in my home ceramic studio. Please note: These are photos of an actual finished mugs. Your mug might be slightly different. Although the same mold and materials are used glazes tend to vary a bit.
The mug is approximately 4 inches square and 4.5 inches tall. It will accommodate 20 oz of your favorite beverage if you decide to use it as a drinking vessel. It is made of stoneware and fired at cone 6. Can is not included.. only photographed for scale. :)
